2016 ACHASM SUMMIT - Occupational Safety and Health

It's that time of year again, time for all of us that have a passion for Construction Health & Safety to get together to network, share ideas and pick up on the latest trends and happenings. There's nowhere better to do this than at this year's annual ACHASM Conference.

This year, ACHASM has extended its programme in order to provide 2 days of interaction.

The summit theme is 'Pre-mortems versus post-mortems: Assuring H&S throughout a project’s stages versus learning by accident'

We will be focusing on issues and processes related to assurance as opposed to investigation and promises to be an insightful and thought provoking 2 days!

Day 1 will feature twelve presentations addressing, among other, risk management, method statements, designing for construction H&S, support work, occupational health and hygiene, and ethics, leadership, and negotiating and managing conflict relative to H&S.

ACHASM will be hosting a dinner in the evening which all delegates are invited to attend.  Come relax and unwind with us!

A BIG thank you to PERI Formwork Scaffolding Engineering (Pty) Ltd for sponsoring some of the goodies that delegates will receive when they arrive.

 It's much appreciated!

Day 2 will feature two workshops, namely designing for construction H&S (2 hours), and temporary works design (3 hours) focusing on support work. In addition, two discussion sessions will address topical issues, namely ‘Temporary works appointments’, and ‘Too much paperwork with respect to H&S’
